The Interior Designing Department trains
students to become complete Professional Interior Designers
and also increase their sensitivity towards emotional,
cultural and aesthetic dimensions. The aim of designing spaces
is focused on the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical
well being of individuals.
Following the design philosophy,
"FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION", the department also helps
students to design aesthetic and functional Interior spaces
for all strata of society. Interior designing if understood
clearly is a broad canvas, which covers art, architecture,
technology, furniture design, services to dwelling places,
etc.
First Year is devoted to the
foundation course including basics of Room planning, Building
construction, Furniture Construction and Model making.
Second Year aims at the detail
technical know-how of Furniture construction & Design,
Designing of Home Accessories, Building Construction and
Services and Designing of Residential and Commercial spaces.
Third Year is an assimilation and
integration of the entire curriculum, Design & Execution of
Furniture, Professional practice and Estimation and Design of
Public spaces. Recreation centers, etc.
Duration:
3 years with 3 months internship
Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A 3-months compulsory training with an
Architect/ Interior Designer The internship adds to the
grooming of future professionals making them aware of the
market trends and procedures of work.
